Bloggers on the Bus:
How the Internet Changed Politics and the Press
Join the BlueWaveNJ community for a mid-year
update on our 2009 priorities: health care, the environment, equal
rights and election reform. Learn about the progress we’ve made, and our
plans for the rest of the year. Find out how you can participate and
support our projects, such as the BlueWaveNJ Community Action Center.
Special guest speaker is Montclair author
Eric Boehlert, who will discuss his latest book, Bloggers on
the Bus: How the Internet Changed Politics and the Press, about
the rise of the liberal blogosphere and how the rowdy grassroots
movement shaped the 2008 race for the White House. Boehlert is a senior
fellow at Media Matters for America, and a former writer for
Salon and Rolling Stone. He also wrote Lapdogs: How the Press Rolled
Over for Bush.
