Support the New Jersey Tenants Organization. Stop the Anti-Tenant Bill!

The Anti-Tenant Bill S-108 would allow a landlord to require that a tenant pay the entire rent for the whole year (or more) up front on the first day of tenancy.  Not only does this bill make the  Security Deposit Law  obsolete, it would also leave tenants without their most important remedy when vital services are not provided by the landlord.  Stop the Anti-Tenant Bill!

STOP the Blunt Amendment and Stand Up for Women's Health

The Senate will be voting on an amendment that will allow employers to deny their employees access to medical coverage if they claim a "moral" objection to such coverage.  This is the new strategy the Republicans are using to wage war on women's reproductive rights while throwing the rest of Americans under the bus.  This amendment will allow employers to excercise their own religious beliefs by denying employees access to services such as: mental health care,  HIV testing, and cervical cancer screening to name only a few.

Fix Gun Checks Act

Close the Gun Sale Loophole

A new NBC investigation shows how legal loopholes let dangerous people buy guns online -- no background check, no questions asked.

Inspired by a groundbreaking New York City investigation, undercover reporters show how criminals, terrorists and other dangerous people exploit glaring loopholes in the gun background check system.

It's time to demand answers from Washington. Please call your Senators and urge them to co-sponsor the Fix Gun Checks Act (S.436).
