The American Civil Liberties Union is a nonpartisan, non-profit organization founded in 1920 to defend the Constitution and the Bill of Rights. Some of the issues the ACLU will train volunteers to defend include: sanctuary cities, resisting deportation raids, opposing the Muslim Ban, maintaining Planned Parenthood funding, and other priorities. The ACLU is also coordinating with other progressive groups such as Indivisible, Black Lives Matter, Stand Up America, Planned Parenthood, Credo and others to amplify our collective actions.
