Misinformation from social media is rampant and incredibly dangerous. Social media companies are actively promoting violent extremism and making it easy for white supremacist groups to recruit new members.

In March, Congressman Malinowski and Congresswoman Anna Eshoo re-introduced legislation designed to hold large social media platforms accountable for their algorithmic amplification of harmful, radicalizing content that leads to offline violence.
